The Farmyard Picnic is found nestling under the mysterious and beautiful Hambledon Hill. A perfect place to replenish, rendezvous, relax and enjoy healthy happy food.
The Farmyard Picnic Cafe is almost self-explanatory in name. The farmyard is the central point of the well known, award winning Goldhill Organic Farm, with fine views of the beautiful Hambledon Hill.
When the British White cattle go out to pasture for the summer the yard becomes the cafe, transformed into a tranquil but buzzy organic oasis: created with a wonderful eclectic mix of gazebos including French style, natural woods, recycled oddities and furniture, strawbale seats, elm burr tables, goldfish and murals.
The food is of the highest quality produced with real integrity using Fairtrade ingredients. The cakes and chutneys are homemade and we create the delicious soups, salads and savouries each day in a converted stable. We keep it tasty, wholesome, simple with blood type nutrition in mind and lots of gluten free heaven. The sumptuous, all Sunday Brunch with free corkage is a treat.
The quirky bit- no sideplate, mug, teapot, apron, table are the same, there are no microwaves and you have your own frother to transform your own cafetiere coffee into a cappuccino. And after your tasty snack there is a lovely selection of gift cards and craving to browse through.
All is created with genuine care, love and enthusiasm, making it a healthy, happy cafe. We are always prepared for the British summer- if it's wet or windy there is a huge basket of fleeces and blankets- and lots of shade for the global warming aspect!
