Malcolm Seal is a traditional basket-maker working in willow. He runs two-day courses throughout the year from his workshop near Bridport.
If you would like to combine visiting Dorset with learning a new skill, why not book a course with Malcolm?
Malcolm Seal has been basket-making for over 20 years and produces a wide range of baskets and structures made from willow. It is all sourced from the West Country with some coming from his own willowbed near Bridport.
The two day courses are run from Malcolm’s unique workshop under Eggardon hill, near Bridport. Over the course you will make at least one basket to take home with you. The time flies by as you work on your basket although Malcolm’s wife, Anna punctuates the day with delicious home made cakes and a seasonal lunch.
The workshop is ideally placed to continue your exploration of Dorset with excellent pubs, restaurants and accommodation near by.
