Fiddleford Mill
This is a must-do Dorset walk. It takes in Fiddleford Manor and Mill (which clearly displays its medieval origins), the disused railway and remnants of a railway bridge even before you get to Sturminster Newton. And this is a little town well worth a visit in its own right! From there you can stroll down beside the river to yet another fascinating mill and then take yourself up a thoughtfully provided set of steps to the higher ground above. You remain in beautiful countryside and on interesting paths as you make your way to Broad Oak and then on into Piddle Wood.
