Hambledon and Hod Hills Countryside

Spectacular Iron Age hillfort overlooking the Blackmore Vale.

The locations of Iron Age huts can be seen in the interior, and there is an earlier Neolithic long barrow inside the fort too.

There are two public houses serving food at Child Okeford and one at Shroton. Also cafe at Child Okeford - for thirsty/hungry walkers!

Directions

Obviously, hillforts don't generally have postcodes but we have used the nearest one to locate the area on the map!
