Get out and celebrate local food by experiencing Dorset Food Week, an annual event held from Saturday 25th October to Sunday 2nd November 2008.

Welcome to the brand new Dorset Food Week

A weeklong celebration of all things mouth wateringly, sensually, irresistibly Dorset! The week that gives us all a great excuse to focus on the fabulous food and drink that is produced within and from the landscape of our wonderful county.

This year every day will have a ‘Hotspot’, the place where the day’s activities will be focused, and so each day will have its own individual character reflecting the food, farming, landscape and rural culture from that particular Hotspot area.
Now in its 8th year, Dorset Food Week offers nearly 200 different activities for all the family during the morning farming businesses will open their doors, inviting people in and will be showing them where and how their food is produced. Each Hotspot location will then host a local products market and festival in the afternoon, followed by an evening of our best pubs and restaurants offering local produce dishes - indulge yourself in exploring the finest Dorset has to offer.
