Traditional home-made cakes and savouries, (Dorset Apple Cake a speciality), cooked in our thatched farm cottage using natural ingredients and free-range eggs. We add no additives.
Delicious traditional home-made cakes and savouries, (Dorset Apple Cake a speciality), home cooked in our thatched farm cottage. Our range of goodies includes Farmer's Fruit Cake, Date & Walnut Cake, Sticky Ginger Cake, Bread Pudding, Chocolate Biscuit Cake, Dorset Tea Bread, Old Harry Rock Cakes, Cheese Scones and two savoury pastries - Ploughman's Plaits and Pork, Beef & Apple Rolls.
We are a husband and wife team with no employees. We use fresh natural wholesome ingredients, local where possible, with free-range eggs and with no artificial preservatives, colourants or flavour enhancers added by us.





Directions
At end of dual carriageway from Poole, at the Baker's Arms roundabout, continue on the Dorchester Road (A35).
Take 2nd turning right, signposted 'Lytchett Matravers'. Go past entrance to 'Goldy's Farm Shop' and take 1st left into Halls Road, signposted 'Bulbury'.
Go past 1st right ('Middle Road') and take the 1st opening on right after Middle Road into 'Quarr Lane' (Private Road to Quarr Farm. Pass our barn with clocktower and the next building is our cottage - 1, Quarr Cottages. Ring first to check we're in - one of us nearly always is, but occasionally we do go out together!

The friendly proprietors of this home-made cake business are simply passionate about making traditional cakes and savoury pastries in their own thatched farm cottage. Their fabulous Dorset Apple Cake is truly the best we've ever tasted and their 'Old Harry Rock Cakes' are to die for. Best to ring first for directions, as they're tucked away, quite close to both Bulbury Golf Club and Goldy's Farm Shop.
