Bincombe Bumps Countryside

Bincombe Bumps is a set of six barrows forming a cemetery that is situated upon Bincombe Downs above the village of Bincombe. There is folklore surrounding the mounds that say the barrows are home to fairy folk and that music can be heard if you place your ear to the barrows at midday!

Walk up to these Bronze Age barrows from Bincombe village, off the Ridgeway hairpin bend near Upwey, or from Coombe Valley Road.
Stunning views and a sense of being in an ancient landscape.
