St Andrew's Church, Monkton Wyld Heritage

One of Dorset's special churches, built in 1848/49 and designed by R.C. Carpenter in a very sophisticated and archaeologically knowledgable way.

Beyond the exquisitely styled lych gate a path, bounded by beautiful yews, leads to the porch of this handsome decorated church in a wooded setting.

The well proportioned nave and chancel with central tower and Northamptonshire broach spire. Correct ecclesiological interior with octagonal piers, chancel screen, brass altar rail and rich glass by G. E. Cook.
