An annual festival of folk music, dance and entertainment
A friendly weekend folk festival with events held at a variety of venues around the town including pubs, clubs, a church, a school hall and a festival marquee. There are afternoon, evening, and late night sessions, concerts, workshops and a Saturday night ceilidh plus comedy, poetry and Morris Dancers. Many events are free including street processions and dance displays.
Saturday and Sunday afternoons feature a craft fair, and a range of free bands in the main marquee.

The festival is always in September in the second weekend after the August Bank Holiday.
