The Dorset Medieval Festival Came House, Came,near Dorchester, Dorset 18th & 19th July 2009. A wonderful historic setting for a new and exciting festival.
A new and exciting event for West Dorset will take place near Dorchester on 18th and 19th of July this year, at the old Dorset County Showground on the A352 will become a tented medieval village for the weekend: The old manor of Winterbourne Came, where the 18th century house now stands was granted to William Earl of Pembroke in the reign of Henry VI. The landscaped grounds of Came House will provide a magical setting for the first Dorset Medieval Festival, a wonderful evocation of the colour and spectacle of life in the middle-ages.







Directions
Access is along the lane from the A352 Dorchester to Wareham road just over half a mile from the junction with the A35 Dorchester Bypass, and about a mile and a half from Dorchester Town Centre
