SHOW OF HANDS TO HEADLINE EVOLVE

The Evolve family music festival is to be held on 25th & 26th July at Lodmoor Park Weymouth has finalised its line up with 31 artists performing on two stages.


Headlining will be Show of Hands with Miranda Sykes plus other artists to include Lou Rhodes, Megson, Kerfuffle, 3 Daft monkeys, Tim Van Eyken, Pronghorn the winner of the Evolve young performers competition Zac Harris will also be appearing on the main stage on Saturday afternoon.


The Festival has been partly organised by young musicians in a bid to share their enthusiasm for music and publicise alternative genres of music. Organiser Chris Walsh said "We have worked with the local council and businesses to created an event situated in beautiful surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere which is enjoyable for families and people of all ages as well as music enthusiasts."

Young musician and Organiser Lucy Smith continued "We also have entertainers including Morris sides, the Yetminster Irish dancers, circus skills and fire shows, music workshops to include Clog dancing from Kerfuffle, with many local young artists performing, it's a great opportunity to show what Weymouth can do."

Over the two days 2CR FM will doing a live broadcast and Wessex FM will be on site; there will also be a real bar!

The Festival is open on Friday 25th July from 12 - 10pm and Saturday 26th July from 10am - 10pm.
